Norquist Tree Farm is a small family farm on Black Road, in the hills west of Los Gatos. Visits are by appointment, with sign-ups opening in early November.
The farm grows Douglas, grand and white fir to cut yourself.

Before you go
Mountain roads up here are narrow and winding, and cell service can drop out. Leave extra time, wear shoes that can handle mud, and bring gloves plus rope or straps in case you need to tie the tree down yourself. See the best time to visit and the planning guide.
